Job Purpose
The Account Manager for Siemens Telecom will be responsible for managing the Sales and design in activities within all Siemens Telecom divisions worldwide. To ensure that Sharp Microelectronics Europe, SME sales are maximised profitably for the respective product groups LCD, IC, and Elecom in line with SME targets and specifically to meet their respective key Sales budget.

Job Details
You will be part of a dedicated Siemens Sales team in Europe reporting to the Global Account Manager for Siemens worldwide and the General Manager for all Global Accounts.

Main Responsibility

  • Responsible for the whole business at all Siemens Telecom divisions worldwide with a strong focus on the terminal division
  • Defined customer responsibility and is the prime SME customer interface
  • Develop and implement business strategy for their respective customer together with the Global Account and General Manager
  • Report all activities within the customer account team
  • Identify and develop business opportunities with Siemens Telecom
  • Co-develop long term business plan (3years) based on these opportunities for Siemens Telecom
  • Generate sales budget for Siemens Telecom
  • Maximise SME sales for all product groups LCD, IC, Elecom to profitably
  • Monitor and Drive budget performance
  • Issue customer quotations, in co-ordination with the Global Account and General Manager
  • Regular customer visits
  • Set up Presentations to Management and Senior Management
  • Negotiate price and contract agreements together with the Global Account and General Manager
  • Prepare Monthly reports for their superior to include Sales Performance to Budget, Sales Forecast summary, Business Opportunity status
  • Meet and exceed set business targets
  • Build and execute on penetration and a strong design in focus of key products
  • Team up and coop with FAE, Customer Service and Marketing organizations to achieve targets

Profile of an Sharp Microelectronics Europe „Account Manager – Siemens Telecom”

  • Engineering degree in electronics or any equivalent education
  • Customer oriented
  • At least 2 to 3 years experience as Application, Marketing or Sales Engineer
  • Strong business acumen and sales talent
  • Excellent understanding of Telecom environment
  • Excellent German and English
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills are indispensable
  • Travelling on a regular Basis within Europe, Japan and US
