Key Account Manager - Central Europe Automotive (m/f/d)

Job description

The Key Account Manager is responsible to drive account management, business development, sales revenue and design win growth at assigned accounts. The Account Manager relationships need to be established across all levels at the customer base. He / she develops specific account plans (commercial and technical) and executes associated activities (specific product line meetings, promotions, trainings, etc.) to drive opportunities to design win and revenues.

The Key Account Manager arranging, organizing and carrying out technical product presentations at the customer's site. He drives and promote close cooperation with application and marketing engineers as well as own management. He is also responsible for monitoring of framework agreements, forecast figures, budget, backlog management and, if necessary, escalation of issues.

The Account Manager is recognized as the preferred point of contact for business and technical related requests and requirements, in order to secure design wins. Furthermore, he clearly should contribute to the development and execution of company objectives. He should achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

Your responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by maintaining strategic sales plans
  • Identify, lead and win new business opportunities
  • Execute corporate and European sales goals at the assigned accounts
  • Develop, negotiate and execute contracts with customers
  • Provide regular business and account updates in a structured approach through monthly business reviews and specific project updates

  • Analyze customer / market trends and identify new market opportunities and execute against the sales plan
  • Work together with marketing and worldwide solution teams to set strategic and tactical objectives at account or department level (align customer strategy with Business Group strategies)
  • Define, execute and manage all sales related activities across all product lines
  • Develop and keep relationships with channel partners for order fulfillment activities and commercial discussions
  • Be involved in the internal monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting process
  • Be the escalation point for business and technical issues at the assigned accounts

Our Requirements

  • University degree in electrical engineering or any equivalent education with at least 10 years of professional experience
  • At least 5 years of direct customer sales activities
  • Sound understanding of account management, business development and design-in activity and processes
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to drive business strategies out of a detailed business analysis
  • Set direction for high-impact and long-range strategic projects
  • Self-sufficient, ability to lead major initiatives and bring them to a successful closure
  • Proven hands-on analytical problem-solving capability
  • Capability to cope with change, be proactive, fast learning, ability to work result-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills required
  • Excellent language skills in German and English, both written and verbal What our client offers
