Our client is developing high performance and complex Mixed Signal SoC / ASIC products using leading edge technology. The SoC / ASICs and ASSP's incorporate Analog and Digital IP’s and use advanced Packaging Technology. His products focus on car entertainment, high-performance computing, telecommunication and networking like optical network applications and 5G, image processing as well as customer specific SoC solutions for a variety of High-Tech applications in the field of communication, automotive, medical, consumer and industrial markets.

To strengthen our clients Business Unit Automotive we currently are looking for a:

Principal Architect - Automotive Systems (m/f/d)

Your tasks / responsibilities:

Your focus of task of the Principal Architect – Automotive Systems covers a broad spectrum and lies essentially in the following areas:

  • Based on your strong system level knowledge you discuss with our automotive customers in EMEA their specific requirements to their future E/E car system architectures
  • You support the customers in pointing out how our leading edge SOC’s solutions make contribution to reach their targets
  • Out of customers requirements on system level you are responsible to create a system specification from which the SoC architecture and HW/SW specifications will be developed together with your colleagues and IC architects
  • You improve the company-internal requirements management and raise it to the next level

Your background:

  • BSc or MSc in electrical engineering, microelectronics or any equivalent education with at least 10 years of professional experience in automotive or semiconductors engineering or research departments
  • Very good architecture skills on system level as well as on IC level
  • In-depth automotive knowledge with focus on future trends in E/E systems (domain-controller, zone-computing, In-Vehicle Networking, etc.)
  • Strong know-how in different kinds of processor architectures like modern CPUs, MPUs, GPUs, VPUs, etc.
  • Very good skills in requirements engineering and experience with appropriate tools like DOORS, Jira, PTC or similar
  • Advanced knowledge about software, HW/SW partitioning, ideally concerning innovative topics like Artificial Intelligence
  • Strong communication skills and a confident appearance
  • Very good English-skills, German as a plus
  • Basic know-how in Functional-Safety and appropriate standards like ISO 26262 would be a strong plus
