Our client is an international semiconductor chip manufacturer.

For the Design Center in Munich we are looking for a:

Principal Firmware Development Engineer m/f

Responsibilities:

  • Specification and implementation of Functional Safety concepts for automotive applications incl. firmware architecture
  • Hands-on development and technical leadership
  • Collaborate with internal and external functional safety management teams
  • Act as the main interface with mixed-signal IC design teams
  • Ensure validation of firmware before deployment and thus assume responsibility for quality
  • Support system integration in a dynamic environment

Requirements

  • Relevant educational background
  • Demonstrated skill in microprocessor based firmware development and validation in both C and Assembly
  • Intimate knowledge of firmware development and validation in embedded micro-controller based SOC’s
  • Sound experience in automotive development process and standards, especially ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE and MISRA-C
  • The ideal candidate would have exposure to ARM Cortex M series micro-controller
  • Good understanding of mixed-signal chip design and semiconductor flow would be a bonus
  • Strong communication, decision making and customer interface skills
  • Fluent English, ideally also in German
