European Sales Engineer

We are looking for a

EUROPEAN SALES ENGINEER

Job Purpose:
The European Sales Engineer for Web inspection systems will be responsible for Sales activities in very close coordination with the engineering and product management groups to ensure that Dr. Schenk’s turnover and profit in Europe will be maximised and the profitability for the respective product division will grow. WebFeat stands for fast, efficient, affordable testing of surface defects on flat web material. Dr. Schenk offers customized scanner solutions including comprehensive customer service from initial analysis to successful installation.
You will be part of a European Sales Force, dedicated for the role to role or WebFeat industry like paper, foils, plastic films and sheets, steel and metals in Europe reporting directly to the worldwide sales director.

Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the sales activities with a strong focus on the WebFeat customers in Europe
  • Develop and implement business strategy for their respective customer together with the product managers
  • Report all activities directly to the worldwide Sales Director
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Europe specially in the WebFeat industry
  • Regular customer visits
  • Negotiate price and contract agreements
  • Prepare monthly reports for their superior to include Sales Forecast summary, Business Opportunity status
  • Meet and exceed set business targets
  • Team up and cooperation with product management to achieve targets

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in electronics or equivalent education
  • Customer oriented
  • At least 2 to 3 years experience as Application-, Marketing-, or Sales Engineer in one of the above mentioned environment
  • Strong business acumen and sales talent
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent understanding of WebFeat industry
  • Excellent German and English
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills are indispensable
  • Travelling on a regular basis, mainly in Europe, is required
